Stand Out Northamptonshire is an aspiring charity that supports children in care and care leavers across the county. We have ambitious plans and need people like you to get involved with volunteering to help make a real difference to the children and young people we support.

We are currently looking for people who can get involved with fundraising activities and help raise awareness of the charity and its wonderful work with children in care and care leavers.

Bring your passion, enthusiasm and strong numeracy skills to help us raise funds to support children and young people in care and leaving care in Northamptonshire have the best possible opportunities.​

What's involved?

  • Manage local collection tins supporting the charity.
  • Ensure collection tins in local shops, restaurants and other venues are empty and find new venues to display more tins.
  • Bank the collected donations and complete basic paperwork.
  • Raise awareness of Stand Out Northamptonshire services in your community.

How much time should I give?

This is a flexible volunteer role, for which we’d suggest a few hours a month or more if you have the time.

Be part of creating a fundraising group in Northamptonshire to help raise money and awareness of the charity. Bring your creativity, energy and enthusiasm for fundraising to our team to help our children in care and care leavers have the best possible opportunities.

Whats involved?

  • Thinking of ideas for your fundraising events – we'll consider anything from supermarket collections, coffee mornings, music events to skydiving and head shaves!
  • Organise and help out with your group's fundraising events.
  • Raise awareness of Stand Out Northamptonshire services in your community.

How much time should I give?

This is a flexible volunteer role, for which we’d suggest a few hours a month, or more if you have the time.

You’ll need to be highly organised, detail focused, and sensitive when overseeing our volunteer fundraising programme. You will work to coordinate our new and developing fundraising team within a supportive and creative environment.

What's involved?

  • You will identify, develop and implement plans for maximising income through all aspects of Stand Out Northamptonshire.
  • You will be innovative and creative with the ability to manage, plan, and coordinate a group of like-minded fundraising volunteers, to execute a regular fundraising programme.
  • This could include using social media, obtaining corporate sponsors, solicit gifts from high profile advocates and effective practices such as monthly giving, major gifts and direct marketing campaigns.

How much time should I give?

This is a completely flexible volunteer role, for which we’d suggest a few hours a month or more if you have the time.

​Bring your strong research, report writing and communication skills to help the fundraising team to find new supporters for Stand Out Northamptonshire.

What's involved?

  • Carry out research online, over the phone, and face to face, into both local and national groups, organisations and businesses who may be interested in working with us to raise funds.
  • Record your research findings and share these regularly with your volunteer coordinator.
  • Provide direct bid writing support to help secure external resources through your ability to complete the best possible funding applications.
  • Raise awareness of Stand Out Northamptonshire services in your community.

How much time should I give?

This is a flexible, home based volunteer role, for which we’d suggest a few hours a month or more if you have the time.
